Family History

John Galon established Galon Insurance Brokers in 1963, beginning a legacy that his family has followed over the years, holding true to John’s vision of offering customers peace of mind and ease in handling their insurance needs. The family atmosphere extends to all of Galon Insurance Brokers’ employees and clients. Relationships with their customers is of utmost importance, as they provide great care in all insurance needs.

John moved his family to Regina from Moose Jaw in 1963 and purchased AT Brown & Associates Insurance Agency, on which he built his Insurance Brokerage.

John was joined by his son Brian in 1973 and by his son Philip in 1977. In 1988, Philip moved to Saskatoon and purchased Klombies Insurance, converting it to a north extension of Galon Insurance Brokers. In 2004, a second office was opened in Saskatoon, and three years later a branch office was also opened in Regina. Galon Insurance Brokers remains one of the largest independently owned insurance brokerages in Saskatchewan.

Brian has been joined by his son Jason in operating the Regina offices. The Galon team is available through extended hours for all three Regina locations. The centrally-located head office at 1408 Broad Street in the Old Warehouse District; the 2743 East Quance Street location in the booming east end; the 4558 Albert Street location in the well established south end of Regina are open seven days a week to serve you better.

Philip has been joined by his sons Jeff and Daniel and daughter Jennifer in operating the Saskatoon offices. Jeff manages the insurance lines including the personal and commercial division, Dan manages the systems, policies, and procedures and Jen manages marketing and corporate development. Galon established itself in Saskatoon in 1988 at the downtown head office of 909 – 3rd Avenue North, and has since expanded to the thriving north end of the city at 2 – 820B 51st E. The Galon team is available through extended hours for the convenience of their Saskatoon clients.

Galon Insurance has blended tradition with modern technology. The new generation of the Galon family has created an online service that provides product information, SGI online services for renewing vehicle registrations, quotes and much more that is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, for clients to access at their convenience.

Galon Insurance Brokers work with their clients as a full-service brokerage to provide the best options for all insurance needs, including Home, Auto, Farm and Business insurance. Every client is unique and so should be their insurance.
